Jenny on Halloween 08

jenjen_halloween

Jenny on the stoop of our building on Halloween night 2008 sporting her vintage “cat” hat … I love this shot. I love my beautiful, wonderful wife !! She’s the most patient stand-in ever. Only this time, this shot was all about her !!

Last Sunday I had the privilege of photographing Paul Ramey in the theatre of PS 9 located at the corner of W84 St. and Columbus Ave.

Paul is a musician and an urban missionary … And has an amazing story. He and his family (wife and three boys) recently relocated to NYC to be urban missionaries. I highly recommend keeping up with the Ramey journey at the UrbanJournal.net

I’m looking forward to working with Paul more and photographing him, as well as his family. Just waiting for it to warm up!

Another Resolute Shot

Just ran across the shot and thought I’d post it. This is my favorite shot from the day.

First In Business Worldwide …

first_in_business

Saw this ad on the train heading back into Manhattan … And my obscene compulsiveness noticed that the “ticker” of CNBC on the cell phone read only “First in Business Worldwide” over and over and over and over. From my experience at CNN, the “ticker” never says the same thing twice. I wonder if someone forgot to update this information, or was this intentional so that the ad would not be tied to any particular current event(s)? It seems the copywriter had an opportunity here to use the features of this new technology as info on the “ticker.”

Either way … It’s ashame this space was wasted for such a mediocre tagline!

Impromptu Photoshoot

Jenny and I had an impromptu, off-the-cuff portrait shoot with some friends who live on the opposite end of our block. And this shot of their son was the winner for me today! This is out front on the stoop of their brownstone.
