Dad …

My father is quite a jovial guy. However, in this photo he’s looking off. “Pensive” he would jokingly say!
I really wanted to get some good photos of both my parents this week … Not sure why. Regardless, I got lots of great shots.

For the week of Thanksgiving, we took a tour of the south altantic region. We landed in Northern Florida and spent a few days at the beach. Upon landing at a small, local airport and waiting for our bags, I looked up and saw this jewel. Yumm … Who wouldn’t want to eat here ?!!?

This is third “evolutionary” step of this photo that I’ve posted. Above is the final execution of one of my shots from the Resolute photoshoot in Cambridge / Boston back in the summer. This execution was used in a recent magazine ad for Resolute.
Below are the first two steps …

original shot … a very overcast morning with supplemental light using a grid and beauty dish.

The Shuttle between Times Square and Grand Central has a new wrap … Google Maps. Gotta love it!

Looks like Duane Reade has gotten a much needed face lift! Stumbled upon what appears to be a recently renovated Duane Reade in the Upper West Side. Clean, bright, new and fresh. But more importantly an extreme lack of the traditional Duane Reade blue and red color scheme. Kudos!!

Now this is a pretty sweet promotion. 1) Have a team of folks from Tylenol on Lexington Ave at E 54 St in Midtown Manhattan attracting attention outside of CVS Pharmacy … 2) Have several British Taxis from Manganese Bronze covered in the Tylenol brand … 3) And offer New Yorkers free rides on a brisk November weekend afternoon. Now that’s knowing your audience! Smart.

Seriously? Someone wrote a book about this subject? People read this? Its sad really.

Navigaya is the best search tool available to date. An unbelievable tool. With this one tool users can search over 10 major search engines, create a profile obviously, create/edit/share music mixes and more. I’m actually using Navigaya to play music here at the studio. And while the music is playing, the music video plays in the background. In the above image, a video is playing of Gnarls Barkley covering Radiohead’s Reckoner.
